ICSTI 40th Anniversary Annual Conference

ICSTI Anniversary

The International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) is happy to announce its 40th Anniversary Annual Conference and General Assembly. This will be an in person meeting collocated with PiDFest (June 11th-13th). ICSTI will hold its General Assembly the afternoon of June 13th, followed by a full day of open workshops on June 14th.

This year’s workshops will explore the following topics: Interoperability methods that ensure efficient machine-readability, and Responsible Research and Innovation.

3ème Conférence Internationale de Recherche et d’Action sur l’Intégrité Académique (20-22 June 2024, Figueira da Foz, Portugal)

La 3ème Conférence Internationale de Recherche et d’Action sur l’Intégrité Académique se tiendra du 20 au 22 juin 2024 à l’Université de Coimbra au Portugal. La conférence portera sur les défis et incertitudes de l’intégrité académique à l’ère de l’intelligence artificielle. Elle comprendra six sessions thématiques et trois ateliers visant à discuter des actions immédiates. L’événement vise à promouvoir la recherche scientifique et à favoriser le débat pour renforcer la culture de l’intégrité académique.

Open Teleconference June 2024 – ISO TC46 2024 update, June 17, 3-4 pm EST

TC 46 is an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) technical committee, focused on Information and Documentation. The topic for the June open teleconference will be a recap of the ISO TC 46 Plenary meeting “week,” to be held in Berlin, Germany  May 20-24, with international participants connecting across multiple time zones for all associated meetings.

Todd Carpenter, NISO Executive Director and Keondra Bailey, NISO Assistant Standards Program Manager, will discuss the meeting, NISO’s role there, and the current questions under consideration in TC 46 conversations.

DIAMAS Conversation series for libraries: Advancing diamond OA in Europe, Online, 30 May 2024 at 1 p.m. CEST

 

 

 

Libraries are vital pillars of the Diamond Open Access (OA) ecosystem, providing infrastructure, services, and expert support to institutional publishers. Many libraries are also publishers in their own right. To engage libraries in advancing Diamond OA in Europe, the DIAMAS project is launching a Conversation Series for libraries.

The first discussion will be held on May 30, 2024 at 1 p.m. CEST.

An Introduction to E-Resources Online Seminar 2024 (18 & 20 June 2024)

This two-part online event has been adapted from UKSG’s successful and long-running one-day seminar and aims to present a practical introductory overview of all aspects of e-resources management, encompassing e-journals, e-books and bibliographic and full-text databases. This event will take place as two morning sessions on Tuesday 18th and Thursday 20th June.

2024 Library Publishing Forum, 15-16 May 2024, Minneapolis,USA

The Forum includes representatives from a broad, international spectrum of academic library backgrounds, as well as groups that collaborate with libraries to publish scholarly works.

The 2024 Library Publishing Forum (LPF) will be an in-person event. This year, LPF will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Library Publishing Coalition.

PIDfest,11-13 June 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic

The goal of this event is to bring together PID advocates, users, and leaders from around the world to solve infrastructure challenges that will accelerate research and innovation.
