Les rencontres annuelles du réseau Mir@bel auront lieu les 3 et 4 juin à Paris, au Conseil d’État et à l’INHA. Érudit interviendra en conférence invitée sur le paysage des revues au Québec et au Canada. Des partenaires, dont le projet Rev@ntiq et le Conseil d’État, présenteront également leurs travaux, tout comme la Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire Cujas,  l’Université Paris-Saclay et le réseau Repères. The 2024 Library Publishing Forum (LPF) will be an in-person event. This year, LPF will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Library Publishing Coalition.

The goal of this event is to bring together PID advocates, users, and leaders from around the world to solve infrastructure challenges that will accelerate research and innovation. Attendees can expect energetic discussions focused on solving real world challenges in delivering research infrastructure.

Discover the Skills4EOSC Competence Centres (CCs) dedicated to knowledge organisation and transfer within the realms of Open Science, FAIR research output management, and the EOSC context. These CCs operate within their respective countries, regions, or thematic domains, to address the critical skills gap by offering training programs, including workforce upskilling and reskilling initiatives focused on Open Science principles.

The ISBD Review Group and the ISBD for Manifestation Task Force held an online introductory meeting on 8 February 2024 with participants from other IFLA bodies, Resource Description and Access (RDA), MARC Advisory Committee (MAC) and ISSN International Centre, in order to facilitate the start of the expert review phase of the ISBD for Manifestation. This phase will be ending by mid-May 2024, and will be followed by an official worldwide review phase from mid-May to mid-July.

OPERAS is the research infrastructure supporting OPen scholarly communication in the European Research Area for social Sciences and humanities. The European Council called in May 2023 for transparent, equitable, and open access to scholarly publications. OPERAS welcomes this Council conclusion that fits with their aim to make open science a reality for Social Sciences and Humanities. This is why the conference will focus on Opening collaboration for community-driven scholarly communication. The conference will address issues involving equitable publishing, multilingualism, bibliodiversity, and other related topics.

There is no registration fee.

The 2024 Library Publishing Forum will be an in-person event, scheduled to take place on 15–16 May 2024, at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

The International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) is happy to announce its 40th Anniversary Annual Conference and General Assembly. This will be an in person meeting collocated with PiDFest (June 11th-13th). ICSTI will hold its General Assembly the afternoon of June 13th, followed by a full day of open workshops on June 14th.

Proposals for workshop speakers are currently accepted until 22 March 2024. This year’s workshops will explore the following topics: Interoperability methods that ensure efficient machine-readability, and Responsible Research and Innovation. 

NASIG 39th Annual Conference will take place in early June 2024 as an entirely in-person event.

Regina Romano Reynolds, Library of Congress, Director of the US ISSN Centre, will make a presentation on 6 June 2024 about BIBFRAME at the Doorstep.

Last October the cOAlition S group of funders commissioned a study by scidecode science consulting to assess the impact of Plan S. The study investigates various aspects of where this initiative may have had an influence on the global scholarly communications landscape. Five months on from the kick-off meeting for this project, this session will offer an opportunity for the early results of this work to be presented and discussed with the OASPA network.
