CiteScore–Flawed But Still A Game Changer
Elsevier recently announced CiteScore metrics, a free citation reporting service for the academic community. This service is similar, in many ways, to the Impact Factor. The specifics in how each indicator is constructed makes them different enough such that they should not be considered substitutes, says Phil Davis, an independent researcher and publishing consultant. The controversy is open.
