Presentation on ROAD at UCL, London

On 20th January, 2016, ROAD, the Directory of Scholarly Open Access Resources, has been presented at UCL Centre for Publishing / Department of Information Studies / University College London, in the framework of a seminar around Discovery and Discoverability.

The topic was enhancing discovery systems, how new tools are being deployed and used and how to make their content more findable. ROAD presentation made part of the case studies highlighted.

Russian ISSN National centre

The ISSN National Centre of the Russian Federation has opened. This centre is located in the Russian Book Chamber in Moscow, managed by  the Russian news agency,  ITAR-TASS.

Clément Oury elected chair of the PRESSoo Review Group

PRESSoo, an extension of the FRBRoo model, is an ontology for describing serial publications and other continuing resources. It is maintained by a dedicated group of revision which depends on the IFLA cataloging section.

Clément Oury, Head of Data, Network and Standards department at the ISSN International Centre, has been elected chair of the Review Group by the cataloguing section Standing Committee.
